smiths 'SECTRIC' electric - CONVERTED TO 18VAC - Extra Safe
This is a Smiths Electric Clock that is in great condition, it has marks on the back where the time has been set, a scratch on the left front and a scratch on the glass but other than that it's in great shape. Not totally original as it has been converted, and comes with, a hard wired 18VAC plug transformer because the original wiring was unsafe and the coil insulation was failing.
The movement is started by setting the coorrect time and then gently pressing in the adjuster knob and releasing it. The tell-tale port on the front will show a wiggly line moving and this is how you know the movement is running.
As with all 50Hz syncronous clocks, the timekeeping is really good.
